Resources

General Resources:
Khan Academy: a free video-based lecture series compendium - provided by MIT - covering various subjects in the physical sciences, business/finance, and mathematics. This is a "go-to" resource that is unbelievably helpful for visual and auditory learners (as well as for people that learn best by example)

Wolfram Alpha: Type any scientific question or mathematical formula into the google-like searchbar and this resource will solve it for you. For examples on how to use Wolfram Alpha; click on examples by topic underneath the search bar

Student of Fortune: If, on the rare occurrence, it's Sunday night, the HW is due Monday, and you are hopelessly stuck on a question - this is a resource that you can use to get a quick answer. This is a link to a website where tutors make bids to answer questions. It is not free, but as a last resort it can be valuable

Math Resources:
Interact Math: a free resource that functions just like "MathLab" that will help you solve problems if you get stuck. Various text books are provided (if yours isn't in the dropdown list just select one for your subject)

Brightstorm: Similar to the Khan Academy - this is a free resource of video lectures on specific topics from algebra to calculus. There is also a calculator placed underneath the video where you can practice your skills and receive feedback

Wolfram MathWorld: A searchable resource for detailed theory on mathematical topics

Wolfram Online Integrator: Like Wolfram alpha, except exclusively for integrals

Vector Calculator: A visual tool that allows the user to manipulate vectors

Probability and Statistics Calculator: Currently calculates Normal Distribution; The Laplace Distribution; The Gamma Distribution; The Beta Distribution, etc.

Equation Sheet: A website with a searchable function for math/physics/chemistry/statistics equations

Free downloadable 3D Graphing tool: This graphing tool supports polar, spherical and parametric as well as Cartesian coordinates

Free downloadable 3D Graphing tool #2: This graphing tool only graphs Cartesian coordinates and inequalities. Polar, spherical and parametric are exclusive to the full version

Mathematical Plotter: Online tool for plotting functions, objects, data and surfaces (no download necessary)

Tutorials, Formulas, Calculators, Directories: This Math Resource Directory will link you to resources on the web for Math Directories, Math Tutorials, Calculators and Converters, Money and Financial Literacy, Formulas and Symbols, Data, Facts and Figures

Math.com: Quick and easy to use formula calculators, converters, and a graphing tool

Math Forum: A searchable forum, where answers to similar questions can be easily found. You can also ask your own question, but the response time will be too long to use for most homework assignments
